(Can be welded box profile or other) . Can the steel equivalent of the classical wooden snap roof be solved with ide steel? As it is known, wooden snap roofs have different directions, slopes and mixed forms. For example, something like this
 
Re: opinions and questions about using ideCAD Steel 8 Hello ; You can model and obtain analysis and design results by automatically finding steel snap roofs, ridge and stream intersections and plan images in any form and slope. For joints, the welded joint calculation used for box profiles is not performed. Therefore, you cannot print out a design report of the combinations from the program. However, if you make an explanation as a lousy source, you will not need to print out any design report. Good work.
 
Re: Opinions about using ideCAD Steel 8 questions Hello, We can use pipe sections in the program. If we choose any pipe section from the column properties, analysis and design can be done and you can get the drawings.
 
Re: Opinions about using ideCAD Steel 8 questions I am using idecad reinforced concrete. I wanted to use the steel demo version for the scaffolding project. I entered the solid as we did in reinforced concrete. When I wanted to copy floors, it only copied the horizontal and diagonal profiles to other floors. It did not copy the vertical profiles even though the selected objects or any other options were unchecked.

Hello, story copying is not performed on steel columns in ideCAD 8 due to some conditions brought by steel structures.For the scaffolding project, column elements must be entered separately for each floor. If a steel structure project was being made, the columns should have been entered in one piece, up to the column attachments.

Steel structures are quite different from reinforced concrete when we consider outside the program. Therefore, the logic of the program is naturally different from reinforced concrete. It is not always possible to reach modeling or analysis results as you are used to. Version 8.103 is quite different from the version where steel videos were created. Currently, a local company has brought this issue to a very good place with a method called IntelliConnect. Are you working on this? If so, will this feature come soon?

However, in the plans for version 9, adding new combinations is a priority. Issues such as the automatic creation of connections according to the analysis results or the automatic creation of connections according to the capacities of the elements are among the next items in the planning process. However, it is not possible to specify a precise date or version at this stage. No definite decision has been reached regarding these items yet. Of course, people don't make this request until they know that this kind of thing can happen. When I saw that something like this could be done, I was very impressed. Existing and potential users of ideCAD will definitely want something like this. It is obvious that a software strengthens its hand quite a lot in terms of marketing. I hope this issue finds place in planning and budget.

Mouse scroll works very weird, I can't zoom, images keep changing. I don't know if my system is enough, what should I do if it is enough. Also, which graphics card would you recommend in the most up-to-date situation (for ide steel)? Nvidia Quadro series is very expensive, will the GTX handle it Other brands?

Select the high performance card from the video card settings. At the same time, you need to make other adjustments for the 3D display window. If you are using a laptop, the requirements for the power saving mode to be active or for the battery to be constantly charged during operation may vary depending on the computer brands. This may be caused by different computer brands, not by IdeCAD. If the conditions I mentioned are not sufficient, it will be useful to contact the technical support of your computer company. Re: opinions questions about using ideCAD Steel 8 Hello; The tension rods shorten the weak buckling length of the purlins and take precautions against deflection. It is not included in the quantity and reports. There are no reports specific to tension rods. However, in order to understand its contribution, you can model a simple purlin with 8 m span and examine the design results with and without the tension rod, and see it as a result of comparison. Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Çelik 8 questions When we solve reinforced concrete and steel systems together, the column application plan is empty. To bypass the problem, I delete the steel part from the system and get a column application plan. Is anyone else experiencing this?
