Opinions questions about the use of Reinforced Concrete Design

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions Greetings, is it possible to have a 'similar floors' tab in rib details as in beam details, some municipalities have started asking us to put an index on rib details in similar floors. Or they want us to get separate rib details for each floor Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello, I'm taking your request into our notes. Thank you for your notification.

Re: Opinions on the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions In the design of multiple stirrups in reinforced concrete; Can a size limitation be introduced as in beams? Columns exceeding 80 cm in length are in the form of double stirrups.

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions Hello, In the dominant vibration period report that I had done to find the dominant period of the ground, the ground amplification was given as 1.5. Do I enter this value under the Increase soil safety stress box (50%) in the Foundation-soil tab in the Analysis settings. Waiting for your comments. Making soil amplification analyzes means applying more realistic and local soil conditions for the building, but unfortunately, sufficient information is not given in the ground survey reports.

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions Hello, I could not solve the problem of cutting safety and insufficient reinforcement of k62 and k67 beams in my project, I would be very grateful if you could help me urgent

Re: opinions and questions about using ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 Hello; my question was going to be when I want to define a tile in the area that I have shown in yellow in the picture below, patterns with different geometries appear. What is the problem, where does it come from?

Hello, Check the slab edges and beam junctions. Make sure that the node points coincide. Check that there are no slab edges under the beam. Check the errors in the geometry control. If the problem is not fixed, you can add your project.

Re: opinions questions about using ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 Hello, we are using v8.503. We have a few questions. We ask for your help. 1- We get an error (in red) when we make the middle region stirrup spacing 20 cm in a 60x60 cm column. Normally the range satisfies the regulation condition. We could not understand the error. You can see it in the attached project. 2- After creating the drawings, new layers (such as reinforcement line, reinforcement text...) appear. At the very beginning, these layers are not included in the layer settings dialog in the modeling interface. Since our aim is to change all the layers in ideCAD according to our own layout, we want to save in the empty project (not drawing). Is it possible? 3- In the plan drawings, the layer names of the element groups are given as a single name. For example, colon scan, column name and size, column line is indicated as "Column". Can we separate them? 4- Although there is a dimension separator line in Settings -> Dimensioning settings, circle separator is shown in the automatic dimensioning given when importing the mold plan. Can we set this? 5- After the door gap is made on the curtains, the square of the shorter distribution reinforcement next to the gap is not displayed. Are we missing something here?

6- Double stirrups on beams are arranged as "double stirrups of equal length" . Will it be possible to draw an outer and smaller stirrup inside? 7- I remember that there used to be an equivalent earthquake load method in the General Settings tab in the analysis settings. Has this option been removed?

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions Hello 1- When we make the middle region stirrup spacing 20 cm in a 60x60 cm column, we get an error (in red). Normally the range satisfies the regulation condition. We could not understand the error. You can see it in the attached project. I will review your project and get back to you. The necessary layers are created automatically in the drawings you create from the Drawings menu. You cannot intervene beforehand. 3- In the plan drawings, the layer names of the element groups are given as a single name. For example, colon scan, column name and size, column line is indicated as "Column". Can we separate them? When you create drawing Column hatch, name and lines are thrown to "Column" Layer Turn off all layers except Column. Split the columns with the break object command. Select the colon scan and using the select all command in the right-click menu will select all colon scans. It can be thrown to another layer with the "Change Object Layer" Command. You can also do this for text and lines separately. 4- Although there is a dimension separator line in Settings -> Dimensioning settings, circle separator is shown in the automatic dimensioning given when importing the mold plan. Can we set this? Circle brackets are displayed in automatic dimensioning in the mold plan. If you dimension manually, you can use the " / " bracket type. We have taken your request into our notes. 5- After the door gap is made on the curtains, the square of the shorter distribution reinforcement next to the gap is not shown. Are we missing something here?

Details of vertical reinforcements caused by gaps in the curtains are given, but Horizontal reinforcements are not provided. We have taken your request into our notes. 6- Double stirrups on the beams are arranged as "double stirrups of equal length". Will it be possible to draw an outer and smaller stirrup inside? As you wrote, the drawing is given as a stirrup with two equal arms. I take note of your request for the outer + inner stirrup option 7- I remember that there used to be an equivalent earthquake load method in the General Settings tab of the analysis settings. Has this option been removed? Yes. Removed from version 8.

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions Hello Mr. Yasin, In the formwork reinforcement drawings, the slab upper reinforcement is extended to the bottom of the beam. Is there a setting to change this?

Hi, Max will be 50cm according to the beam depth and rust margin It is done in a square way. There is no option.

Hi, Max according to beam depth and rust margin Miter is made to be 50 cm. There is no option.
In general, it is difficult to make such a long square in practice. Therefore, I can think of the following way to correct the drawings: After all the analysis and calculations are finished, make the beam depths the same as the slab and analyze again and draw the reinforcements in this way. Normally the beams will be insufficient, but will there be a fault in the floor reinforcements? Semi-rigid diaphragm solution would be faulty, but I think there would be no error in fully rigid diaphragm solution. Is it true? I would like to know how other engineers do it.

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions Greetings, in previous versions, there was a 10 cm wall in wall loads, now I guess not. I wonder why it was removed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Opinions about using ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions Do I need to solve the system separately in a dilated structure? Or can I find a solution by leaving a space in the same project? ?

Hello, Check the slab edges and beam junctions. Make sure the nodes overlap. Check that there are no slab edges under the joist. Check for errors in the geometry check. If the problem is not fixed, you can add your project.
Thank you very much, I made a stud without splitting the beam and it was fixed. I checked it in the geometry control and there was no problem.

Re: Opinions about using ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions Hello, I've been having a problem for a few days that I think is related to OpenGL. After the analysis in the semi-rigid diaphragm model, the full-body analysis model screen that appears in the perspective window is locked. Even right click menu comes after 1 minute. When I switch to the solid model, there is no problem, it flows like oil. I'm sure the computer is adequate in terms of performance. So, Business PC: i5 6500 + 16 GB RAM + SSD (Windows 10 build 1607, latest Intel video driver installed, OpenGL 4.4) Laptop: Core 2 Duo P8600 + 4 GB RAM + HDD + Nvidia GeForce 9600 GS (Windows 10 build 1511, video card driver is not even up-to-date) ideCAD Steel DEMO version 8.103 is installed on the laptop and I have no problems as I have shown in the video below. I have 8.503 Reinforced Concrete installed on my work computer and I am having a problem. To be sure, I installed the Nvidia GTX 275 graphics card, installed the latest drivers and tried again, and the result still did not change, the mesh model I made semi-rigid diaphragm solution freezes. It is certain that the problem is caused by OpenGL. Can ideCAD support team help with this? If there are friends with similar problems, I would like their help. Video:
