Opinions questions about the use of Reinforced Concrete Design

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions In ideCAD 8, it constantly shows in the reports in the project quantities, although I do not mark the 10-gauge reinforcement in continuous foundations in the selection of diameter. I was having this problem in ideCAD 7 as well. In addition, although it is not in any position in the detailed quantity report, there is 10 reinforcements in the total quantity report. In addition, if you add the favorites option in other dialogs regarding reinforcement diameter selections, we can practically make diameter selections. Good work...

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions Hello, How is the torsion reinforcement section used in the torsion tab of the reinforced concrete beams? Whether the beam torsion is negligible or not, the torsion reinforcement (top-middle-bottom) is empty and no action can be taken.

Hello, 10' reinforcement is the ampatment distribution reinforcement. We can change the diameter of the reinforcement in the basic parameters all the time.

The reinforcements in the Torsion tab are automatically calculated according to the torsion calculation and show the number and diameters of the reinforcement added to the section. Here, the information on how much is required is given, otherwise it is printed blank, otherwise the existing reinforcement If this reinforcement is provided along the beam, the program does not give inadequacy in terms of torsion reinforcement.

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions 1- Where I define the enlargement limit in changing the dimensions of the columns, enlargement is done. but the program does it on the other hand while shrinking is being done. It would be very good if an arrangement that will accept the node point as fixed in the enlargement and shrink event is added. 2- If we can enter the size as in the column menu, without going into the settings when the girş menu is opened.

Hello, We did not see such a problem. Could you add an example?

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions What are the advantages of idecad Reinforced Concrete 8 version compared to 7. What has been added, which deficiencies have been corrected? No masonry modeling yet. It is not very realistic to do it by changing the material properties. There is still no risk account for masonry structures. For this, we have to buy from other package software. As far as I heard, if there was not much change between versions in Ide before, it was possible to switch to the new version for free. I bought version 7.020 1.5 ago. We have to pay an extra fee to upgrade to version 8. I don't find this true. What has changed? If I had bought it a few months ago it would have been the same. It could have been applied differently, at least for domains in the last X months/years. The innovation of the Idea is of little use to the user as long as the innovation is with money. The fixes already cover the deficiencies of the previous version, if nothing is added as a novelty, money should not be asked for the transition.

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions In the past, we did not charge a transition fee for the versions themselves. However, upgrades were always taken according to the added features from 3 to 4, from 4 to 5, from 5 to 6 or from 6 to 7. Reinforced concrete possibilities added to the program in V8 1) Column-wall group (reinforced concrete core) definition, calculation and transfer to csicol 2) Pile reinforced concrete and drawings 3) Dome reinforced concrete and drawings 4) In-plane forces also taken into account area slab reinforced concrete 5) 3D result inspection interface 6) Coupled reinforcement attachment possibility 7) Drawing exposure possibility on the basis of sheet 8) Opportunity to use cracked section in the analysis with the system on slabs 9) Arrangements facilitating the use of floor general settings dialog 10) Link beams can also be used in mixed systems being highly ductile 11) Ability to define dynamic mass participation rate on the basis of slabs (for parking floors etc.) 12) Opengl optimization to work quickly on the perspective screen of loaded projects 13) Ability to define envelope type load combination 14) Pattern line possibility 15) Static material to undefined elements warning before analysis 16) Ability to import only selected items into the bill of quantities 17) Data entry Possibility of axis (secondary axis) to be used for work and not included in the dimensioning in the application 18) Name list of columns in the layout for column application 19) Reinforcement design according to tension on columns and walls 20) "Draw a similar object" command 21) Showing only problematic elements in retrofit reports as an option 22 ) Option to take the torsional stiffness of the beam when the beam torsion calculation is made according to the suitability torsion 23) Design of the beam torsion reinforcement in the form of top/bottom/body 24) Giving the plan drawings of the columns in the vertical drawings of the columns 25) Improvements in reinforcement exposure 26) Whether or not to include the head stirrups in the curtain vr calculation option 27) Possibility to define support which can be used for beam drawings. In case the beam is connected to the joints of U, T type panels, the support can also be entered as user defined if desired. 28) Option to not accept a fixed support at the lower end of the curtain. Being able to enter the beam on the panel 29) "Extend the upper and lower reinforcements to the adjacent opening" options in the beam parameters dialog 30) In the column parameters dialog, the option to perform the stirrup calculation of columns with normal ductility level, high ductility level or normal

Re: Opinions and questions about using ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 Let's take a look at what has been done and retrospectively. also look at and criticize other domestic and international programs. Let me just write it, it won't make a sound...

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions In the pile detail drawings, the upper level of the foundation is accepted as 0.00 (level at normal floor settings -5.80), can you check?

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions Thank you for the answer, Mr. İsmail. I could not find the added features on the forum and the site. I wish we had a chance to view the demo of the program. Especially adding the pile drawings was very good. What I said about stacks still applies. I ask you to take this into consideration in the intermediate versions. I would like to ask your new users to be tolerant of the additional fee. Good work.

Re: Opinions and questions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 High curtains appear before us in the curtain solutions of İsmail Bey. When we solve them with cantilever curtains, we encounter large sizes. Is it possible to add a ribbed retaining curtain to the 8 version?

Re: Opinions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions Hello, first of all, I would like to congratulate you for your work, indeed the ide family has made great progress. I encountered some problems in the projects I made in version 8.028 and I wanted to share them with you to find out if the problem is from data entry or a program error. 1.) The number of stirrups appears as 0 in the colon application plans. 2.) The crossties of the curtains are not visible in the column application plans and vertical openings of the curtains. 3.) The program crashes and closes while taking the basement floor beam extensions. ( encountered in 2 different projects )

Hello, This situation is recorded in our notes. Currently, the number of stirrups appears in the Column Application Plan In the Settings/Advanced Settings Tab, it is enough to tick the "Draw reinforcement pose numbers" option once or uncheck it if it is checked.
2.) Curtain crossties are not visible in column application plans and curtain vertical expansions.
We did not create this situation you mentioned. curtain crosses appear in curtain details Can you add a sample drawing of the problem? We can also examine the problem by providing remote access to your computer with the amviwer program.
3.) The program crashes and closes while retrieving basement beam extensions. ( Encountered in 2 different projects )
The problem has been recorded in our notes. In this version, you can delete the tie beams and get the basement beam extensions. Thank you for your notifications. Note: The continuous foundations defined under the panels such as P2-P3-P4-P10 are not connected at the nodes of the panels. Good work

Re: Opinions and questions about the use of ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 Hello, Mr. Levent, thank you for your interest and suggestions.
2.) The cross-ties of the curtains are not visible in the column application plans and vertical openings of the curtains.
We did not create this situation you mentioned. In the drawings we received, the curtain crosses appear in the curtain details. Can you add a sample drawing of the problem? If necessary, we can examine the problem by providing remote access to your computer with the teamviwer program. I am sending the related drawing as attachment. I also wanted to give information about a few issues 1.) The project file gives an error when taking quantities and closes. ( Encountered in 2 different projects ) 2.) When saving the project, instead of recording on the same backup file, it keeps recording different bak files. 3.) I could not find the ENDPOINT EDIT command that I use in general, in the new version.

2.) When saving the project, instead of saving on the same backup file, it keeps recording different bak file. Due to the current version, my friends thought this way. I guess for ease of debugging. Also, only data is stored in these bak files, there are no drawings for your attention...

3.) ENDPOINT EDIT, which I use in general, is useful I couldn't find the command in the new version.
+10

Re: Opinions about using ideCAD Reinforced Concrete 8 questions 2) The program now saves .bak files with different names in order to minimize problems such as "my project is corrupted, it cannot be opened, I overwritten the bak file" that are frequently received by the technical service. (this doesn't slow down the project registration). If you open a separate folder for each project and work on it, you can easily clean up the .bak files when they get too much. 3) The endpoint edit command was removed in v8. As of v8.029, the ability to change offset with the spacebar has been added to the stretch operation by selecting a single element in normal mode.

] Hello Mr. Sabahattin, There are curtain crossties in the drawing you marked. According to TDY 2007 article 3.6.3.3, it is sufficient to put 10 crossties along the critical curtain height in the middle of the curtain, and 4 crosses outside the critical curtain height. Therefore, a change was made in the 8 version compared to the 7 version. However, this statement of yours has been included in our notes for consideration.
While taking the project file quantity it crashes and closes. ( Encountered in 2 different projects )
Saved in our status notes. Good work
