Column reinforcement selection

Hello, Although I made more than one selection for column reinforcements in my project, I see that only the smallest of the reinforcements I selected is used as a result of each analysis. No matter how much the reinforcement amount increases, other selected reinforcements are not used automatically. For example, while 12 to 24 reinforcements are selected in the reinforcement selection, more than 100 12 mm diameter major+minor reinforcements are used in some columns. Larger diameter reinforcements are not discarded, although selected. When I check the beams, I see that there is no such problem, large and small diameters are automatically selected where necessary. How can I get the reinforcement diameter to be selected in columns as in beams?

Hello, First of all, according to Ts 500 7.4.1 and TDY 2007 article 3.3.2.1, reinforcement diameters less than 14 are not used in column longitudinal reinforcements. Therefore, the diameter of 12 should not be marked in the reinforcement selection dialog. If you want to use different reinforcement diameters in columns, you can manually edit in the Column reinforced concrete dialog to meet the cross tie spacing conditions. Good work

Levent, let's not get hung up on 12 by 14 in the example. Ultimately, what I'm trying to tell you is that the program only uses whatever is the minimum among the ones selected by the user. I think this is a problem because the program should be able to choose which reinforcement to use based on the spacing condition. It is very strange that he can do this design on beams but not on columns. If the program will discard only one type of reinforcement after analysis, why do we tick more than one box in the column reinforcement selection window?
