how to modeling a raft foundation

any one advice me how modeling the raft foundation and entering the soil properties,how can to check the punching shear?

Hello,

After defining column and beam system (all data of upper model), click the button structural desing mode (shift+tab) to enter the architectural mode... in that mode, you can define all foundation objects such as single footings, continous footings and raft foundations...

In that point, you should know informations of how defining slab edge...


Click "slab edge" button on toolbar..
Draw some slab edges and click first point you inserted before to make closed area .. All column must be set to inside of closed area ...
Now, click slab button on toolbar and select the closed area,
Cursor will lock closed area.
Click the left mouse button, slab will be created. This slab is your raft foundation .

Se sample project I enclosed (Sample project was created on demo version)



Now, You should enter project properties to input soil values etc. at foundation tab in Analysis Settings on Analysis menu



After closing Analysis Settings, clik Analysis + Rc button on toolbar or F8 ...
When analysis completed, click RC/Column Support-Column Punching command on Menu
You will see all punching shear and controls..

Ps: You watch all training video over internet. Videos are Turkish but I guess you can see how datas can be defined in idecad program..
