Hi Ammer,

When calculating the ratio, "the area of the rectangular section / the area of the t-beam section" is used. If you read the "Modelling Steps", you can find the answers.

I appreciate your efforts for your answer
but still i can not understand how did obtain the value of the mass for the beams section
would you please do the equation for this beam section manually here?

The area of the t-beam section = 2978 cm2
The area of the rectangular section (25x50) = 1250 cm2

The Ratio is = (the area of the rectangular section) / (the area of the t-beam section)
The Ratio is = 1250/2978 = 0.4197
