While determining the hollow slab directions in a formwork plan, is it correct to transfer the loads to the short beams or to distribute the rib beam directions in the x and y directions in a balanced way?

usually the shorter one should be rotated according to the beam as far as I know because the smaller beam should work against bending...

The ribs are designed in the direction of the long side so that they can transfer load to the beam in the short direction.
