Hi Ammer;
We design composite beam with the concrete slab by this means we calculate neutral axis the total slab(steel,deck and concrete) and PCS. If PCS is over the % 100, this means concrete slab is not working enough and you should increase the capacity of concrete. We also check the deflection, which you can see at composite beam design, by using concrete and steel deflection. ın summary, the deflection of the composite beam is total deflection and no further requirement for another deflection control.
In composite slab menu you can see materials for concrete and steel, the material of steel is for metal sheet not the composite beam. The metal sheet role is formwork so it's not necessary to control the capacity of bearing.
All of these; you can see the details like capacity control, PCS, deflection and other regulation controls at composite beam design menu and composite beam reports.
Best Regards.
