Basic Stress Control

Hello there. In the analysis settings, although I checked the "Make the ground safety control of raft foundations according to the average stress" option, there was no change in my ground stress value, which did not recover from earthquake loads, and when I received the report, no error appeared.

Why would you expect a change in the soil stress value? Here only the "control" is based on the mean stress. The goal in this is: At an extreme point, there was a very local jump in the soil stress value. It is a matter of whether or not this will be taken into account. Of course, the maximum ground stress does not change. N. YILMAZ

Mr. Nedim, I realized the situation you mentioned after posting it on the forum. Anyone who just examines the report cannot understand that the maximum stress is the peak value at the end point. He may say that tension does not save. That's why there is a glaring situation in the report.

Hi Try this situation if you have not removed the wall loads in the attic and reduced the floor loads. Unver ÖZCAN

Hello there; You can insert a blank page in the IdeReport program and take a screenshot of the ground stress graph of the relevant combination on the IdeStatic Perspective screen and add it as a photo to this blank page. In this way, you explain those small points and show that they are at a level that can be neglected. Best regards.

We have come across these mindsets a lot. Such mindsets are not convinced They do not look at it as engineers. They look at the guarantee (?!) as a document. A crappy project comes, if the report is complete, there is no problem. The rest is justified. The initiative is not used. I praise those who do the right thing, but unfortunately, this is the bitter truth. N.YILMAZ
