Adding a new library

I want to add a new object out of existing 3d libraries, how can we do this? For example, there are sites that convert real objects into 3d libraries for sketchup and download them. Is there such a thing for idecad? Are all libraries limited to these?

Hello, There is a similar possibility in ideCAD programs. You can import wavefront.obj and 3ds files to ideCAD ARCHITECTURE and use them as library objects. You can follow the path below to add a new library to the program. - You can import 3ds extension objects into IdeCAD RENDER program. - Move the imported drawing in İdeCAD RENDER with the Move to origin command. - If the object is without material, select the desired surface on the perspective screen, click the right button and select different materials on the surfaces with apply material. - If the number of object surfaces is not high, create a plan with the automatic create plan command. If the object has a large number of surfaces, it may take a long time to generate the automatic plan. Instead, it would be correct to define only the outer points manually. - Click the jump to object points command to create the plan and select the parts that will give the object boundary points in the top view. Right-click on the top view workplane and select the plan view with the change view command. Since you can see the object points, define the drawing of the object in the plan with the help of 2D objects such as lines and arcs in the plan view. - When placing the library, select the definition points that allow the object to be placed from different points with the spacebar. You can specify these points with the definition point command. - Finally, export the 3D object with ktp2 extension from the file menu. - Copy the ktp2 extension file you created into the libraries folder in the file where the ideCAD Architecture program is installed (right-click on the idecad architecture shortcut and open the folder it is in). In this way, you can use the 3D objects you have prepared yourself or the 3D objects you have created from scratch in ideCAD ARCHITECTURE by making them with the ktp2 extension, and then taking them into the library archive. In addition, as new libraries are added to the program, they are announced on the forum page. Good work.
