vertical earthquake force

Hello, I hope I'm not wrong, but as far as I know, except for some special cases, the new regulation leaves us to the user (project author) to decide whether or not to affect the vertical earthquake effect. I couldn't find where to turn the vertical earthquake effect on or off in idecad.

Vertical earthquake effect calculation in the program is applied to all structures without the need for user intervention, as stated in the article 4.4.3.2 below. You can see this by looking at the loading combinations (Ez(G)). If your structure has one or more of the situations described in item 4.4.3.1 a, b, c, d, you should select the "Use design spectrum for vertical earthquake effects" option from the settings of these elements. You can see this by looking at the loading combinations (Ez(R)).

Vertical earthquake effect must be taken into account in all situations and buildings. Vertical earthquake effect is calculated in 2 different ways: 1- It has a unique spectrum. It is called vertical elastic acceleration spectrum How to construct the spectrum is described in item 2.3.5. 2- With a simple approach, it is obtained by multiplying the vertical load on the element, G, by 2*Sds/3. See equation 4.10. What you are confusing is item 4.4.3.1. According to this item, DTS= Vertical elastic acceleration spectrum should be used in a structure that is in the 1, 1a, 2, 2a class and includes any of the situations specified in 4.4.3.1 a, b, c or d. In other words, the vertical elastic acceleration spectrum should be used. i am Except for this situation, the load that I described in the 2nd article is calculated automatically for all the elements. If your model is DTS=1, 1a, 2, 2a, all you have to do is to mark the element as described by Emrah, by entering the properties of the element, if you have an element matching 4.4.3.1 a, b, c or d.
