Tensile load in reinforced concrete columns

Hello, I would like to ask a question that is not directly related to ideCAD to my colleagues. What kind of a path do you follow in case of negative load on the columns in the earthquake (G+Q+E) combination in high buildings (like 20 floors). Since the tensile capacity is very low, it does not save the column. In general, such a situation occurs in the first two floors. NOTE: The software in which this situation occurs is not ideCAD.

Hello, Uğur Ersoy's book on reinforced concrete has information on this subject. In short: romin=2*fctd/fyd Asçekme= Nddraw / fyd >= romin*Ac The value found can be compared with the existing reinforcement in the column. If you do not have the book, the attached picture will help you.
