Hello friends, let's imagine a building with 5 basement floors, surrounded by a rigid basement curtain on 3 sides. Should the additional dynamic loads that will occur on the ground be added to the seismic combinations, as calculated in the retaining structures (of course, the formulation given in the retaining will be for a free wall at one end and the load distribution will be different for the shear with two ends)? The regulation dealt with this issue only for retaining structures. However, some consultants want this force to be taken in such buildings as well. I am definitely in the wing of the fact that there is no need to have such an effect in a structure with completely rigid basement curtains. What is ideCAD's approach to this issue? I wish everyone good work.
