Hello, I want to make the pipe profile-column combination in the attached form that I got from Hilmi DEREN's book. Can you help me. Good work.

Hello there; In your model, it is possible to connect the top and bottom headers to the column header separately. There are 2 alternatives for this, as you can see in the image. One is the butt plate truss joint and the other is the butt plate truss joint for box/pipe profiles. In the junction for the box/pipe, you can connect the truss element to the face plate by direct welding, while using the flag plate in the other. The combination that you share the image of is a seating combination and the scissors are seated on the column. For this reason, you should connect the scissors to the column with a single joint, not a separate definition for the lower and upper headings. You can use scissor support combination for this. Although it is more suitable for combined L, C sections, it can be used in pipe profiles. Good work.
