Strong Column

In a single storey warehouse design, when I get the column report after the analysis, I see that Mra+Mrü > 1.2 Mi+Mj is not provided. However, the report does not accept this as an error and explains it by writing the phrase "top floor object" in the control section. I am sending the project in the attachment. I would appreciate if you could give information about the reason for this. Good work...

In accordance with the earthquake code article 3.3.5.4.(b), the program does not fail in strong column control in single storey systems. The note you see in the report is a reference to this article. "It will not be checked whether Equation (3.3) is provided in single-storey buildings and at the nodal points of multi-storey buildings whose columns do not continue to the upper floor."

It shows the same thing in my project, but it is not a single storey building. 4 floors. Is there any downside to this?

Hello, it is not an error if a strong column is not provided. If it is not, TDY 3.3.6 The conditions specified in are applied. Examine the relevant article... The drawback is that it causes the end forces of the columns to increase.
