stepped foundations

Let's say we don't have a chance to dilate while solving structures with stepped foundations in the idecad static program. Wouldn't the ground stresses between the 2 foundations be different (due to the depth difference)?

The soil stress is a result calculated by the program. If you are talking about the bed coefficient, you can use the possibility to change the bed coefficient on the basis of the raft foundation (in the raft basic properties-static tab) that comes with version 7. It works as an enlargement/reduction factor that determines the final bearing coefficient for the raft foundation by multiplying the bearing coefficient entered in the project general settings.

Sorry, I meant the soil safety stress when I said ground stress. It's good that we can define different bearing coefficients, so which foundation will the safety stress we entered in the analysis settings be valid for?

The soil safety stress you entered in the analysis settings will be valid for all foundations. In this case you can use the low value to stay on the safe side. You can also make a visual inspection from the 3D results module, but only one value will be printed in the reports.
