Also, the enhanced strength with these arrangements can never exceed 1.5 times the value determined by Equation 8.21. trying. however, no information is given for the equipment. When a cap is made under the column on a raft foundation, the reinforcement must be calculated according to the lower end shear and moment values of the column.
