Soil Improvement Report

Hello, I made a solution based on the report prepared by the Geotechnical engineer in my ZF ground project, which I worked on. The report also explains in detail that jet grout ground improvement will be done; but the engineer in the building inspection asks me for an extra report, how can I prepare such a soil improvement report even though I am not an expert in geotechnical engineering? Because I've never encountered the same situation before. I don't know if it will be healthy. I would like to get your opinion from my experienced colleagues. Thanks in advance for your attention

Hello there; What kind of report did the building inspection ask you for? Must be; A jetgrout project should be prepared based on the existing geotechnical report and a report showing the new soil bearing capacity / bearing coefficient / soil class to be calculated as a result of this application should be prepared. You should solve your project according to these new values. If the jetgrout project has not been prepared, the building inspection has asked you for it. I selected ZF ground in İdecad and calculated the spectra and lambda coefficient. I was in contact with the geotechnical engineer at all of these stages so that I wouldn't do anything wrong. A report in which I quote from this geotechnical report that the building inspection requested and I also signed. As a result, I made a statement that I am not authorized to prepare a report in this sense, since I am not a geotechnical engineer, but they insist that I should prepare a report as a static project author.

I have a suggestion to my colleagues who encounter such situations. If the requests requested by the supervisory authorities do not seem reasonable and possible to you, ask them in writing according to which article of the regulation their request is. You are right, I think I will do as you say. Because I have limited knowledge and geotechnical higher engineering. It did not seem ethical to me to write and sign a report on a subject that I could work with in a coordinated manner.
