Hello, I think that in the Scissors settings, the left and right add console section cannot be changed at the same time. Although I tried, only the console on one side can be changed. How can I create scissors like in the attached.

Hello there; You can adjust the console in both directions, there is no such thing as working in one direction. Edit the console distances for the left and right from the additional features section of the scissors settings. If you entered the scissors aligned to the right or left, it works in one direction, use the centered option to intervene in both directions. In this way, you can choose the type of scissors you want and make the arrangement. Good work.

Take it easy everyone! How can I select a single element I want in the truss elements? For example, how can I select one of the crosses or one of the uprights in the scissors, when I click on the scissors, it selects the complete scissors. Good day everyone, I look forward to your help.

Hello there; Enter the scissor command from the top toolbar. Select the 2nd row from the left select scissor elements command, the cursor will change, hover over the desired scissor element and select. Good work.

I can't upload the attached project. I was going to ask if the sections I use are too big, what should the normal be?? can you help me i can't load the project it is bigger than 4 mib. .s Bottom and Top header: 2*L 100*10-10 Struts and Crosses: Saved when 2*L 60*6-10

Hello there; Your sections aren't just about openings. It will vary depending on your load situation. Can you upload your project to the internet using Wetransfer and share the link?

download link here I would be grateful if you could help me I've reduced the sections by almost half, is it possible to make it smaller, for example, if we look at the scissor design, the cross in the image I added is 2*L 40 *How can I do 5-10, the ratio is almost at the limit. Also, isn't it possible to reduce the cross section without cross beams between the trusses?

Hello there; In your model, remove the purlins from the analysis and divide at all intersections. Build roof braces to ensure stability on the roof. In this way, your structure will exhibit a more stable behavior. In order to reduce the cross-sections in the trusses, the average of your truss height and truss spacing should be as close as possible to each other. In lattice beam carrier systems, the aim is to place the diagonals with an angle of 45 degrees as much as possible, and in general, the 30 - 45 angle range provides the most favorable axial force optimization. For this reason, you can rearrange your truss height and the distances between the uprights. Also, check the forum thread below.

Good work.

Have a nice day everyone! How can I adjust the distances between the struts in the idecad steel truss element as I want? Does the program only allow me to set the distance between the first, middle, and last struts?

Hello there; If you create your scissors by giving a length, the measurements taken are the distance between each upright, not the first and last upright. If you follow the preview section, you can see more clearly how it changes according to the lengths you enter. Good work.

Thank you for your answer . I tried from this menu, but without success. I could not set the scissors with 9 openings from one side of the scissors as the first 2 intervals from the left (.64m) and the other 7 intervals different (1.37m).

Hello there; You cannot enter numbers in one direction and range in the other direction in scissors, so you have to calculate according to the symmetrical and asymmetrical cases to arrange geometrically. One example for symmetrical and asymmetrical scissors is explained with visuals and created in the model. Good work.
