Hello, What is the acceptance and source of reinforced concrete ribbed slab, raft and continuous foundation parameters. There is no reference in the İdecad handbook and some parameters are not available in the regulation. What are the references to the parameters seen below?

Hello, The parameters that are not mentioned in the earthquake regulation come from TS500. In addition, the program is not only used in Turkey. It is also used in other countries. Therefore, as in all international programs, the right to intervene in the parameters is requested by the users. Default values can be prepared as templates. If you wish, you can prepare a template according to your own project standards.

From which regulation or standard were the reinforcement ratios of the raft foundation taken? Do you refer to the received regulation? If there are values that are not taken from the standard, where did they come from? Thank you.

These are design criteria, and these design criteria are determined by the ENGINEER, provided that the regulations are adhered to. As soon as IDECAD tells you to use these values, what do we need if the program will determine everything? Maybe you could do some reading on detailing.

Dear Muhendis30, It is obvious that these are design criteria and determined by the user. But if a limit value will be given to the design values, knowing the infrastructure and citations of the program will take us and you one step further. Knowing which design values are left to the discretion of the user and which regulatory limit values are used are the minimum values that every designer should know. If you know please share. If I want to express more descriptively what I want to ask Radye basic max. If not, it would be appropriate to say that the reinforcement ratio (TS500 and TBDY related article) is on this page of the book. Knowing what you are doing in the designs you advise you to go into practice.

Taken from TS500. The same conditions as the reinforcement conditions given in TS500 are applied for slabs with and without beams running in two directions on rafts. You can also find information on the subject in reinforced concrete books. For example, the following information is given in Uğur Ersoy's Reinforced Concrete 2 Flooring and Foundations book: The minimum raft reinforcement ratio should be around 0.0015-0.002 for each direction. (In normal depth foundations, it would be appropriate to take 0.002 to stay in the safe direction). For rafts with a depth of more than 1 meter, minimum reinforcement can be calculated according to 0.002 based on 1 meter depth in the calculation of minimum reinforcement. It would be more appropriate to take the reinforcement ratio of 0.0015 in deep rafts.

Mr. Hakan, Can it be said that in determining the boundary conditions, besides the regulations, books are also used? There are no references to this subject in the handbook. Is there a source where I can find the citation of the given limit values? Thank you for your interest.

The values given in the reinforced concrete books are given taking into account the earthquake regulation and TS500. You naturally come to common conclusions. The default parameters in the program reflect this common result. The first source you will base on will be the Earthquake Regulation, then TS500, and then international regulations reinforced concrete books. ideCAD defines these limits by default as follows; 1) If it is specified in the earthquake regulation, this value 2) If it is not specified in the earthquake regulation, TS500 3) If it is not specified in the TS500, international regulations and reference books. However, if there is a parameter about the reinforcement ratios that you cannot find the source of, you can ask our technical support service.

The raft plates depend on the conditions of the plate elements in the TS500, and the rib and continuous foundation beams depend on the conditions of the beam elements. I did a little work on the dialogues you asked. I am sharing it with you.
