Retaining wall proposal

My customer requests a retaining wall with a height of 15 meters from me. I did not have the opportunity to examine all the regulations regarding retaining walls. but mine will be something like self-affirmation Thank you

Re: retaining wall suggestion bro, if you are going to build such a high retaining wall, I would say build a ribbed retaining wall.

Re: retaining wall suggestion yes I thought about it. There is a method I saw at the building fair last year. They were removing the back floor and turning the back ground into a kind of carrier with reinforced concrete at 1 meter intervals. I also thought about the method, but I need options such as if we build a wall at this height first, we will have this cost, otherwise if we change the floor in the back, we will have this cost.

Re: retaining wall suggestion Do not forget to draw drainage to the back bottom and an intermediate pipe along the wall to the project

Re: retaining wall proposal Retaining Structures are interesting structures. It differs a lot. In reinforced concrete structures, the shoe system is important, I practically saw the following about 3-5 m heights; The rear shoe length becomes close to half the height. But when the height exceeds 6 m, my first suggestion is to do it gradually. As İbrahim Bey said, it is necessary to make threaded and vertical ribs at the base. In this way, wall thicknesses and rear shoe lengths can be reduced. I would suggest a pile system if it is 15 meters or something like yours. No, if no piles will be made, I applied a method similar to what you mentioned. Earth concrete geotextile wall construction. The basis is as follows; Mesh reinforcement is first laid on the floor, (the reinforcement goes out of the wall a little and bends upwards), a geotextile plastic-based filiform fibrous material is laid on it. felt is laid. A coating that allows ivy or grass to grow can be applied to the vertical surface of the wall to be decorative. This process is continued by compacting the soil with a thickness of 50-70 cm. In this way, we built slopes up to 15 m high and normally inconsistent. Of course, the basis of this is based on the principle of holding the ground itself by emptying its back and staggering and compacting it as I just mentioned. Frankly, I wouldn't recommend a 15m retaining wall. It is both difficult to manufacture and costly. There are also earth-concrete structures applied on some highways.

Re: retaining wall suggestion Thank you for your help, I'm considering geotextile for now, the sections of reinforced concrete are huge

I recommend earth ground. Gradual filling is done by compression processes using strip metal reinforcements. 17m in North Ankara. height, a 6-lane vehicle road was built on it. You can check it out at reinforcedearth.com.

Recently, I can say that the earthen walls finished the retaining wall. Especially in big works, earth ground is definitely used. The cost is less than retaining walls, but it is important in sections.
