R coefficient selection

HELLO THERE. I WILL DRAW STEEL INDUSTRY STRUCTURE ON THE EXISTING CURTAINS IN THE ATTACHMENT (storage area). I'M THINKING OF DRAWING CROSSES ON THE EXISTING CURTAINS. I DON'T THINK OF CROSSING IN THE X DIRECTION. CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THE SELECTION OF THE R COEFFICIENT? BEST REGARDS.

Hello there; Use a central braced system C13 in the Y direction, and a C11 moment-transmitting frame in the X direction. If all the elements will be placed on the curtains in your project, choose only steel, not mixed, from the analysis settings wizard. It could be like in the screenshot.

Nurgül, I will build a reinforced concrete column under my 2 steel columns. In other words, not all of them are built on reinforced concrete curtains. Do I need to change the carrier system selection? If I need to change one at a time, how many should I get the R coefficients? I will throw the diagonals in the Y direction. There is no cross on my x-axis. Best regards.

If you are not going to use any flooring in the reinforced concrete section, use a central braced system C13 in the Y direction and a C11 moment transferring frame in the X direction. In the image, reverse selection is made, you adjust the directions suitable for your own system. If a slab is to be defined at the level of the reinforced concrete elements, first make the steel selections, complete the entire design of the steel section, save the project as different, choose R according to the reinforced concrete elements, and analyze without touching the steel elements, and design only the reinforced concrete elements.
