Program moves very slowly when combining drawings

Hello, my computer's specs are not very high end, it is a moderately new desktop computer. After I print the drawings, especially when I try to combine the beam extensions on the same page, the program moves very slowly. This happens on all my projects. But the same trussed columns do not generally occur in ribs or other details. I wonder if my computer is underperforming or is there a way to speed it up somehow?
