Hello, I would like to ask a question about the 2018 earthquake code conditions regarding the use of polygonal columns. The situation in the 2007 earthquake code was as follows,

Hello there; Clearly according to TBDY2018 you cannot make a polygon column like this. Article open polygon column or not, the short side of the column cannot be less than 30 cm. Best regards.

I wouldn't want to have to reduce the column to 30x70, but since the viewpoint is like yours, we closed this issue with a smaller column. It was not a situation we wanted to increase the console length on normal floors. We will order the 15th edition book of Adam's brain and have a look.
