Pile Raft Foundation

Hello; There is a structure that I am designing as a piled raft foundation. When using the piled raft foundation system, the program gives a warning before the analysis that "The bearing coefficient given for the raft foundation is not zero". Should the bearing coefficient given for the raft foundation be taken as zero? If it has to be zero, what's the logic? Best regards

Hello, The bearing coefficient entered in the analysis settings is the bed coefficient value at the raft foundation level. We define the properties of the soil existing along the pile height with the soil layers. Thus, we take into account the properties that may change as we go deeper into the ground. For this reason, we leave the bearing coefficient in the analysis settings zero. Good work...

If you want to carry the structure only by means of piles, you should set the bearing coefficient to zero. Or by typing a value suitable for the value of the bearing coefficient, you carry the structure partly on the ground partly through the piles. It is appropriate to carry the structure only on piles, that is, to take the bearing coefficient to zero.

Mr. Hakan, How are we going to enter the ground values into the project? Where are the parameters related to the ground, I could not find it, there is only the type of pile, but I could not find the column to enter the soil parameters. Can you send a small sample?

After defining the pile foundation, the program asks you with the analysis or you can make the definitions about the soil by directly clicking the Settings/Soil Layers line.

How can we see the reinforcements in piled raft foundations, such as fret reinforcements, it is urgently needed for the final homework

in version 8. Get the pile report from the report title. The reinforcements are given under the title of pile end effects. Similarly, Drawing You can also see the pile drawings under the menu.
