Persistent Fundamental Error

Hello; While there is no problem in continuous foundations in the reinforced concrete project built in version 8.103, abnormal ground values are found in continuous foundations when analysis is made in the new version (8.500). Why does this problem occur? The ide file with version 8.103 is in the attached file.

Hello, The situation you are talking about is due to the fact that the Earthquake load calculation method "combination of element-specific mode contributions" is checked. In Ver 8.5, currently analyze by ticking "Apply horizontal story forces calculated by combining mod contributions" in the Analysis Settings dialog. This has been fixed in Ver 8.501. Good work

Hello, As it can be seen in the picture I sent in the attachment, there is a constant error in the basic L size. The length of the foundation beam is 1150 and the thickness is 50 cm. In this case, when the margin of 1150 -10 cm is deducted, it should be 1140, but 1144 comes out. A second problem is that it does not divide the reinforcements that exceed 1200 cm in continuous foundations. Good work.

At this stage, I can suggest that you make the column concrete cover the same as the continuous foundation concrete cover and take the continuous foundation opening. (After you get the continuous foundation drawings, you can restore the column concrete cover to its original value.) In continuous foundation longitudinal reinforcements, 12 meters reinforcement length control is not done automatically and it is among our notes. Thank you for your report. Good work
