Issues with version 8.500

I think v7 was a more stable program. concrete fell victim just for steel in v8. v8 has a lot of bugs. flooring error. some beam-column-enclosed junction error or something. There is one issue that I and other friends especially insist on, no error is received when analyzing v7, but error is received when analyzing v8. Although v7 still applies the unchanged ts500 tdy2007 rules, it does not fail and v8 gives an error at some points. yes, writing a program is a subject that requires a lot of effort and effort and is a different job in itself. but even though you advance the images, the glitches in the analysis section show an unwelcoming situation. please give importance to reinforced concrete as much as you care to steel. I wish you continued success

Re: Problems with v8 Here, the following point should not be overlooked. While the V8 was being prepared, some things changed in terms of analysis. Of course V7 is very stable. But even when a single command is added to a program, sometimes you don't know where it will sound. The algorithm can go to different dimensions in an instant. What I really want to say is this: V8 covers the new earthquake code, which is still in draft form. It includes many innovations in terms of analysis module. In fact, when the new regulation comes into force, many programs that say they are in the market will be wasted. As far as I follow, they don't have any preparations for it. For example modeling slabs as elastic semi-rigid diaphragms, examining slab-wall, slab-column combinations. How will curtain-based flooring solutions such as Modeling panels as shell finite elements..? In this case, I wonder what the users or controllers of the programs in the market (who know of course) will say. Of course, IdeCAD is going through a painful process. But it should not be forgotten that this is twin, triplet birth pain.On the one hand, you will write a steel program above world standards. On the one hand, you will integrate it with reinforced concrete, on the other hand, you will strive to adapt to the newly born Turkish steel regulation and the new earthquake regulation. It's not gone, you'll just say, let's give the reinforced concrete maker a sample scaffolding macro. Of course, there are a lot of things that users are right about. On this occasion, I congratulate everyone's father's day...

It was very descriptive.

Re: Problems with v8 Version 8.502 will be released soon. This version; 1) It will be used for scaffolding projects together with the reinforced concrete program. 2) You can continue to use 8.103 and 7.xx versions for your reinforced concrete projects safely and without any errors. 3) The 8.502 version that will be released will be much more stable than 8.500, but there may still be some problems especially in creating semi-rigid diaphragm. 4) In 7.xx and 8.103 versions There is no problem in creating a semi-rigid diaphragm 5) Steel program users can safely continue to use 8.500 and 8.502. Version 8.6 will continue to be developed until the end of 2016 and will be released before 2017. The update regarding the earthquake regulation will be released with the 9.xx version before the regulation enters into force. And the draft regulations will be provided. Semi-rigid diaphragm creation and modeling of curtains as shell already exists and is provided in version 7.xx and version 8.103. It will naturally provide version 8.6 as well.
