Insufficient thickness warning on steel building raft base

Hello, When we design a Steel Building, when I enter the foundation as a raft, I usually get the warning of insufficient thickness. The raft, which should be 35 cm-40 cm, saves min 75 cm. When I design the same steel floor as reinforced concrete and enter the same foundation, it saves. What is the solution to this? Good work..

Re: STEEL BUILDING RAFT PROBLEM Hello; Regardless of whether the slab is concrete or steel, you receive a warning of insufficiency for the raft foundation thickness. The reason is as follows: The minimum thickness condition that must be complied with as per the regulation is not met. The program determines the free span used for thickness control according to the distance between the steel columns. You can see the free span value with the calculation axis edit command, if you change the value, the problem will be resolved. Good work.

Re: STEEL BUILDING RADIUS PROBLEM Thank you. Do we need to take the longest distance between the steel columns as a basis. When I define the subfloor shear on the raft, the normal system was selected and the ratio of the sum of the shear forces to the total shear force is less than 0.75. I'm getting a warning. What can I do? Good work..

Hello there; If you enter the information that it is for the basement in the curtain properties section, the R coefficient, b1 irregularity, etc. will be displayed. earthquake code parameters are not checked. This is how you can fix the problem. Good work.
