Greetings, I would like to share my experience with ideCAD installation on iMac and Macbook PRO computers. First of all, I would like to let you know that I am very hesitant to switch to the Mac family, but when I saw that there were no problems with the programs I used, I was able to relieve my worries, since programs such as AutoCAD and Office are now releasing versions for Mac-based computers. There are two methods to use ideCAD Static on computers with Mac OSX operating system. The first is to install Windows with Bootcamp, the second is to install a virtual machine in a Mac with a program such as Parallels Desktop, VirtualBox, etc. and install Windows on it. I tried both methods and although it was a bit of a hassle I was able to run ideCAD Static either way. The main difference between the two methods is: If you install windows using Bootcamp, only windows (or Mac OSX) is running on your computer, so it's unlikely that you'll have any performance issues. If you install a virtual machine in a Mac, it can be a problem because both Mac OS X and Windows will run at the same time. I only experienced that the windows I installed with Bootcamp could not find the HASP drivers. After doing some research, I found that there is a simple solution. If the drivers that come with the installation file do not work for you (if the red light does not turn on when you insert the lock), first remove all HASP and Sentinel related installations from the Add/Remove Programs menu. Then plug the lock into your computer's USB port and open Device Manager from the Control Panel. You will see there is an unrecognized device, right click it, go to properties menu, choose update driver, it will automatically search and find it over the internet and the problem will be fixed. The second possible problem is that using the MagicMouse (due to the lack of a middle button) is a bit of a problem. However, this is no longer a problem as you can also use a mouse with a USB port that you already use, but it can be funny to have two mice on your desk. -- In the small trials I made, I did not experience any performance problems in the ideCAD Static program that I run both in the virtual machine and in Windows 7 installed with bootcamp, but I still plan to share my experiences here, if you have any questions, I will try to answer them. Thanks in advance, good work Fatih Söylemez Yuk. Ins. Eng
