I could not understand the meaning of drawing column axes in general settings.

Column axes are a virtual line showing the axis set of the column to be used in the growth limits and offset values of the column. If the "Draw column axes" option is checked, an arrow is drawn at the column node. The direction the arrow points is the +X direction. Accordingly, the axis set is determined. In column settings, Misalignment X, Misalignment Y and enlargement limits are given according to this axis set.
