Hello, I'm a new ide user. I'm considering buying the program, but first I wanted to work on the demo a bit. After watching a few tutorial videos, I started with a simple building modeling. However, I had trouble with the welded joint. I want to weld the column beam joint using a plate, and I also want to cut the roof beam perpendicular as seen in the drawing, not inclined. Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: How to weld with plate in column-beam junction Hello, Welding is not done by placing a plate between column and beam. To weld box and pipe profiles together, you can use the weld joint for box/tube profiles. In the program, the elements are not cut according to a certain plane. You can edit these details after you receive the steel drawings, or you can edit them by transferring them to Tekla program.

Re: How to weld with plate in column-beam junction Hello; You can use a support combination for a similar application. Although it is bolted, it is a suitable combination for the system. Good work.
