HOW TO GIVE THE SAME NAME TO SIMILAR OBJECTS

Dear İdeyapı officials and user friends: I don't know if anyone has been in contact with the issue I will talk about below until now. Or did the user friends find a formula for this situation? This situation is encountered especially in large-volume and symmetrical projects. In such projects, it is necessary to give the same name to most of the objects such as Slabs, Columns, Beams etc. that are similar to each other on a plan, for example: K1,K1,K1..,S3,S3,S3.., Like D4,D4,D4...etc. We have been practicing this until today by giving the same name one by one. This situation makes us tired. Is it not possible to name such objects with the same name, or we can choose the same objects and give them the same name at once. In short, I think there is a need for a fixed object naming option. I don't know, we want to take advantage of anyone who can handle this with their own practical applications.

In a symmetrical project, for example, if it is semi-symmetrical, you enter half of the system and multiply the other half by taking symmetry. If your system is quarter symmetric, first you enter a quarter of it, multiply it with symmetry, and then you get symmetry once more. Thus, while you reproduce your entire structure, the names will automatically be as they should be.

GOOD AND BEAUTIFUL, IT CAN BE DONE AS YOU SAID IN EXACTLY SYMMETRIC SYSTEMS, BUT SOME SPECIAL SITUATIONS MAY HAVE MINOR DIFFERENCES IN THE SYMMETRY OF THE BUILDING, SO FIXED NAME MAY BE NEEDED.

If you add such a project here, I can say that I will work on it. No, I couldn't get out of it, then ideYAPI officials will take a look. If I understand correctly, you want the naming to be automatically symmetrical in a geometrically non-symmetrical structure.

Hello, You will be able to name the structures you mentioned easily in version 6.0100. You will be able to choose the naming direction when naming elements such as columns, beams, etc. For example, Right to Left or Left to Right / Top to Bottom or Bottom to Top. By using this feature of naming, you will be able to name the structure by following the order below. I assume that the structure consists of A and B Block - I name the A Block naming in a standard way by selecting the A Block structure elements. - While naming the B Block, select the elements of the B Block and click to be in the A Block I am canceling the different elements that are set so that these elements do not break the naming order. and while naming, I change the direction options depending on the Symmetry direction. eg. In symmetrical structures based on the X-axis, I change the naming direction from Right to left as Left to right. Thus A BLOk .... >> | << .... Block B S1 S2 S3 .... >> | << .... We are renaming as S3 S2 S1 You said that you cannot do multiple naming at the moment. If you select 3 columns whose name will be S6, enter their properties and change the name to S6. All selected elements will have the same name. Good work
