How to design with Mild Steel

Hello, I want to design light steel houses and steel prefabricated structures with İdecad Çelik. In the project, the connection points will be provided with smart screws and bolts. How can I achieve this in the program? I would be glad if you help. Thanks in advance..

Re: Light Steel. Hello, currently light steel structures cannot be built with ideCAD Steel. You can only design roof and facade cladding, six purlins and braces using cold rolled profiles, and get reports. However, the analysis and design of the entire structure cannot be done according to the image you sent, but if you use c or z equations, you can model the whole structure and get its drawings. The reason for giving an error is that there is no appropriate regulation for the design in ideCAD Çelik. Currently, the program includes AISC 360-10, New Turkish Steel Regulation 2016 and Eurocode regulations, which are suitable for the design of hot rolled profiles. Since the regulations of light steel structures formed from cold rolled profiles are different, they cannot be designed. Good work.

Re: Mild Steel. Thank you for your reply. I would love for İdeCAD to improve itself in this regard as well. Good work..

Re: Mild Steel. Hello; There are similar requests regarding light steel structures, and your request has been noted. Good work.

Re: Mild Steel. You can design light steel in idecat static, just visually. you can define the c profile used in cold form steel and find out how much profile will go at least and you can get something visually. but it doesn't really work for you. In cold form steels, any program used in our country does not give the correct results in the analysis. I heard this personally from our teacher at the university. The result of the analysis and the actual Strength of the material never match. Therefore, light steel structures built in our country have always been a question mark. If I were in your place, I would design the main carrier profiles with a 2mm C profile instead of 0.8 mm and build the inner walls with a 0.8 mm profile. At least it gives me peace of mind. When the time comes, improve yourself in idecad
