How is it convenient to connect the beam to the column?

Hello everyone, I wish you a good day. Is there a static difference in placing beams from axis to axis of the columns or placing them from the outer surface of the column to the outer surface? If yes, which method of insertion is correct?

Re: Beam Placement There is no difference in terms of program data entry. The beam can be connected to any point of the column. If you ask as a structural system design, it is useful to be as symmetrical as possible in terms of beam continuity, and to be connected to the center as much as possible so that no eccentricity occurs in the column. The attached picture may give an idea. N. YILMAZ

Re: Beam Placement Thank you very much for your reply. I was connecting the beams from the outer surfaces of the columns to their outer surfaces, now I connect them to the center as you said.

You don't have to just connect them to the center From the center to the outer surface, from the outer surface to the center, from the center to the center, from the outer surface to the outer surface, all are valid data inputs.
