Dear ide building officials and ide building program user friends: I am using a system like this, when I enter the data of my projects, I enter all the data in Ide 5.511, all the data of the project, the analysis is to save this project without analysis, run the 6.54 program, open it as a v5 project, and make all my corrections. When I correct my sections that do not fit with 6.54 and have them analyzed again, I end all my drawings and reports in v.6.54. Am I doing the right thing by doing this process or am I doing something wrong? If you can inform me about this, I will be very happy and grateful. Thank you all for your attention in advance.

Hello, projects entered in Ver 5 can be analyzed in Ver 6. Note: If the point load on the column and beam was defined in Ver 5, it must be redefined in Ver 6 in accordance with this version due to the change in the load definition logic. Good work

Apart from this, when the project with Ver 5 is opened in version 6, some features added in version 6 come by default. For example, in version 6, panel objects are modeled as shells. -Superstructure interactive solution- option can be used in the analysis for beamless raft foundations and continuous foundations, which are also among the possibilities of version 6.

Since there are serious innovations in the analysis engine of the program between versions 5 and 6, when you open the projects you entered in this way in version 6, it is recommended to examine the loads, the established analysis system, and the general state of the project in detail. The ability to read old version projects has been prepared for the purpose of continuing the existing projects once during the transition between versions, and as such, it is not intended for continuous use. Our recommendation is to enter your data in version 6 to ensure consistency.

In such cases, if the appropriate settings for the project are not made for 6 versions, it is necessary to import the settings in 5 versions to 6 and check them separately. With the default settings and the new load definition logic of version 6, different results may occur. but it will stay on the safe side in both versions but there may be relative differences in results.
