Is it more accurate to define the elevator curtain I shared in the attachment as a polygon column or as a column at the end of the curtain? If you have any other suggestions, I would appreciate if you share them. Thanks in advance...

Re: Defining Elevator Curtain In v10, Mr. Ismail said that there will be polygon curtains under a topic, as far as I remember, I could not examine it fully, I hope friends who know the new version will be interested.

Re: Defining Elevator Curtain Make polygon curtains. Create a curtain group by choosing polygon curtain arms. The 2018 Earthquake regulation foresees making calculations in this way. Although earthquake codes allow modeling shear walls as bars under certain conditions, do not make polygon columns under any circumstances. All polygon curtain arms should be created with shell elements. You don't need to define columns for curtain end regions. The program creates an automatic curtain end zone.

Re: Defining Elevator Curtain Hello; When defining the curtain group, first select the curtain arms to be made as a single group. Press CRTL+E or open the right-click menu and click the "Properties" command. In the "general settings" tab of the "curtain settings" window that opens, in the "Group name" section, enter the name you have specified for the curtain group, for example "PG1". Then do the same for the curtains on the upper floors and enter the group name as "PG1". In this way, you define the PG1 curtain group on all floors. After analyzing, click the "curtain group" command in the reinforced concrete design section under the "analysis and design" menu in the ribbon menu. In this window, you can examine the results such as heading zones, reinforcement layout, capacity diagrams, moment curvature relations of the wall groups you defined.
