Hello, we have a project. Hollow floors are required for normal floors and cork flooring is required for the basement. Is there a restrictive provision in the regulation for this? For example, how should I choose the R coefficient here? I will be glad if you can help. Good work.

Hello, The regulation does not specify what to do in case of different flooring systems in the building. Based on your example, if your basement is a rigid basement (if it meets the conditions defined in the regulation), I recommend you to consider the flooring system in the superstructure, since the part that will contribute more to the dynamic behavior of the building is the superstructure. It would be beneficial to consult the control unit in the administration where the project will be presented in order to experience problems in the future.
