Greetings, Is there any work on integrating concrete filled composite elements and steel embedded composite elements into the program within composite elements? Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk

Re: COMPOSITE ELEMENTS Hello ; In the current version, only composite beam design is made with the definition of composite slab. Requests from you are noted and evaluated by taking them into the planning agenda. Your request regarding the design of composite elements has been noted. It is not in R&D studies in the near future. It will be evaluated in the future. Good work.

Hello, Ms. Nurgül, We have 3 criteria in the calculation of the effective width of the concrete slabs for composite floors. The 1st criterion is the 1/8i criterion of the beam span. If we have 20 mt beams, it comes to mind that 1 out of 8 should be 2.5 m. For clarity, the moderator said that l/8 is l/8 on one side and l/4 on the other hand, and we accept it for 150 cm. I couldn't understand this part. Why don't we accept 75 cm by saying l/8? good work. Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk

Hello there; As you can see in the image, there are 3 conditions for effective width in AISC and New Turkish Steel Regulations, as you mentioned, the smallest of these conditions is accepted and it is stated in the explanation section above the items that the effective width amount on both sides of the beam is the sum. This is why it is calculated as L/4. Good work.
