Column Legs

Hello, in the foundation feet of the steel columns, the "grout" seems embedded in the foundation. Shouldn't the grout share be on top of the foundation?

Hello, as far as I have examined, there is no elevation adjustment for grout in the column foot menu. There may be architectural projects where we cannot adjust the level of the foundation level and the building height.

If you add a small example that shows this situation, we can talk about it.

Hello, the attached sample is a representative drawing. Considering that the upper level of the foundation is 0.00 and the floor height is +3,00, it is necessary to level the foundation plate thickness (5 cm) + grout (5 cm) down to a total of -10 cm. By doing this, the 3D image improves and the grout appears on the foundation, but the floor height becomes 310 cm.

Hello there; As you can see in the image, you need to make adjustments not from the floor general settings, but from the sections related to the elevations in the singular basic properties. When you edit in this way, you do not need to make any changes regarding the floor heights.

Hello, due to architectural reasons, can we not adjust the misalignment of the column foot plates? That is, the steel column cannot border a corner of the plate, not the middle? I couldn't find such an option in the menus, good work everyone...

Hello there; The design of the column foot joint is made in accordance with AISC 360-10. Therefore, the plate layout is symmetrical to the column. However, if you can explain the architectural reasons more clearly with drawings or visuals, I can take notes as a user request. Good work.
