Hello. Can we apply Calculation in Time Domain method in any project? Are there any restrictions in this regard? Data entry, acceleration values, combinations, etc., if we can. Is it the same as before?

Hello there; You can perform linear analysis in the Time History Field of the program. You can define acceleration records using the "Time History Functions" section under the "Time History Analysis" section in the Structure tree.[ i] You can also add a new time history state from the "Time history States"[/i] section. If you define 11 sets of acceleration records (11X and 11Y), "Analysis" under "Ground Motion Scaling You can scale your acceleration records using the " command. Apart from that, "Earthquake Calculation with Mode Addition Method in Time History"[/b, which is defined in TBDY Section 4.8.3 and details are given in APPENDIX 4B.3 ] is also available in the program. To use this opportunity, after defining the acceleration records as I explained above, under the "Analysis" menu "Earthquake ground motions"[ There is a /i] section. In this section, you can save earthquake acceleration records in a scaled format. "Analysis Settings" also includes the earthquake load calculation method "Mode collection method in time history"[/ If you select u], you can perform operations.

I had the thought that non-linear analysis would not be applied to every building in the new regulation. Thank you Mr. Oguzcan.

Hello there; It is explained in TBDY Chapter 5 that which types of nonlinear analysis can be applied and under which conditions. Apart from this, nonlinear analysis in the time history can be applied to any type of structure with appropriate material models and acceleration records. As of ideCAD v10, calculations in time history are made linearly. On the other hand, since the mode addition method in the time history described in TBDY Section 4B.3 is a modal analysis, this calculation is also linear. Best regards...

Are there two different calculation methods related to the time history field? Other than that, it sounded like you were talking about another method. Is there an example made with V10? How we're going to do it. have a nice day.

Hello there; Yes, there are two different methods applied in time history, one of them is "linear analysis in time history" and the other is "earthquake analysis with mode collection method in time history", the details of which I have explained above. Apart from this, there is no example made with TBDY regarding analysis in the time history domain. In the installation file of the program (C:\Program Files\ideCAD\ideCAD Static 10\Time history acceleration records) there is an analysis example in the time history according to DBYBHY 2007. Best regards

What is the difference between the two methods?

Available values are based on floor classes Z1-Z2-Z3-Z4. There has been a change in these grounds in the calculation. How are we going to do this? Can you publish an example made according to the new regulation with İdecad v10?
