Butt Plate Beam Attachment

Hello, In the combination of "Front Plate Beam Attachment", the plate grows both up and down as the plate height h1 is increased in order to close the gap in the stiffeners at the bottom as in the picture. but I don't want it to grow up. For this reason, when I want to reduce e1 value, e1 does not change no matter what I write. After the analysis, I said that the drawings will improve, but the drawings do not change. How can i fix this. good work everyone

Hello there; The e1 parameter is not independent of the h1 parameter. The union only allows symmetrical modelling. Since the design report cannot be created in the cases you specify, only symmetrical modeling is performed at the moment. You will need to edit the drawings. This need for the combination will be taken as a note. Good work.

Hello Nurgul, If this joint must be designed symmetrically as you mentioned, we will never be able to model the lower stiffeners! So how do we make the combination we want the stiffeners to be? Best regards. Sent via iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello there; If you add the stiffeners, the design report is not generated. Since the assumption of the intra-joint force distribution model considered in the joint design is symmetric, there is such a restriction. You can do it as modeling and drawing, but you will not get the design report. For this reason, the e1 parameter does not work exactly as you want it to. Of course, you should be able to model as you want without getting the design report. For this reason, it is noted as a deficiency. Good work.
