Body reinforcement

How does ide calculate static body reinforcement? For example, why put 4fi 12 body reinforcements (each on two faces) on a 30x60 beam. In case the beam width exceeds 40 cm or when it is necessary to use double stirrups, why can't we put the stirrups together? In other words, one stirrup that covers the whole of the beam, and the other, a smaller stirrup that is inside. As it is known, the stirrup that surrounds the entire beam is more effective in terms of torsion. Thank you Ali Efe Tuncer

In the case of a single 30x60 beam that I drew between two columns, 2fi12 body reinforcement was calculated. If 4fi12 is found in your project, it may be adding 30% of the support reinforcement in accordance with the earthquake code article 3.4.2.5. In the case of double stirrups, the reason why it is not done as you mentioned is that in practice, two same type of stirrup-shaped construction is preferred. (for ease of construction). The program tightens the spacing of the stirrups to compensate for the torsion in beams that are subjected to excessive torsion.

Can we reduce the number by changing the diameter of the hull reinforcement, the program gives results according to 12 reinforcement bars. Can we optimize and reduce the number by choosing the reinforcement?

The number of body reinforcements depends on the beam height and 30 according to the condition given in TS500. It depends on the spacing value in cm. Accordingly, you cannot reduce the number of body reinforcements.
