beams

Dear forum administrators, I would like to learn about the problem you encountered in one of my projects, I threw a stud beam in addition to a beam stuck from column to column, but as a result of automatic naming, I saw that there were beams with different names on both sides of the stud, so when he divided the beam into 2, he did not name a single beam. At the same time, when I delete the beams and throw them again, the stud beam does not divide the other main beam this time.

Hello, There are two modes that control the states you write: One is "Divide by intersection" and the other is "Auto-Name Split Entities". Both commands are available in the beam toolbar. According to the answer to the question you defined, the "Divide by Intersection" mode should be pressed, and the "Auto-Name Split Entities" mode should not be pressed. Good luck with...

I can define beams as you want in your project. You cannot enter exactly where and which beam, if you specify the location, I will define the project for you and add it to the message. Note: Advanced capture is active in your project, while defining a beam, you may be capturing another point instead of the beam. This can also prevent you from splitting the beam.

For example, the kb24-25 and kb38-39-40 beams on the basement floor are named separately, in fact, they should be a single beam. If I had to ask one more thing, does the fact that they are designated with a separate name in this way affects the column dimensioning too much or what I am doing is a completely wrong definition of beam.

I wonder where can we change this error by selecting these beams to be changed in one go instead of defining them separately, or will we define them again by deleting these beams?

You don't need to delete the second parts of the beams by pressing the Crtl key. , enter properties, give the name of the beam the same as part 1... Then you rename the beams(elements) for the whole project with automatic naming in general

it doesn't. However, it makes a difference in reinforcement selection and beam opening. If the names are the same, the expansion is prepared as a single beam, if they are different, by putting a support in between. That's why we give the part names the same in these beams.
