How is the tensile and compression reinforcement overlap length program calculated in beams? How can we intervene in this situation in İdecad?
 
Hello, The reinforcement arrangement in beams is applied as shown in figure 3.7, based on the issues specified in TDY 2007 article 3.4.3. The lb calculation is determined according to the formula given in TS500.
 
In addition, for lap joints on beams; Since the earthquake regulation does not allow, the program does not make lap joints in the tension zones where the reinforcement can reach the yielding state. In compression zones, the overlap length can be changed in the "General Reinforced Concrete Parameters" dialog.
