Basement Curtain

Hello, the curtains in the basement lower the AlfaS for the Mixed Building design. It is 0.05 in the basement, but this value is around 0.55 on the ground floor. Now, is it possible to take the ground floor as a basis while designing this building? It is an excerpt from Levent Bey's reply on the forum. "Even though the curtains are modeled as a subfloor, they receive shear force in proportion to their stiffness. And since they are not included in the alfaS control, it is normal for the AlfaS value to be 0.22 at this floor. If you want, you can decide whether to solve a mixed system, regardless of the warning given by the program, according to the AlfaS value on the next floor. Earthquake Regulations In the general report, the AlfaS rates on each floor are printed." Should I only mark elements that have Basement Sheds as Basin Curtains or not? Do you have the possibility to open the definition of sub-basin curtain or non-continuing curtain? Or should I detect it as straight as read? For example, when I continue on all floors on the last floor, but use half-length curtains for elevator equipment, should I mark only that floor?

Hello In the program, the AlphaS control is made according to the floor above the foundation or the floor above the floor that is considered rigid. However, the AlphaS rates for each floor are printed in the Earthquake Regulations General Report. You can decide accordingly. [/quote] If the floor with basement curtains is considered rigid, you don't need to mark the curtains as flooded. If you check if Rigid is not accepted, they are not included in the alphas check and B1 irregularity check, if you do not, they are included.

A curtain marked as "basement curtain/curtain not continuing to the upper floor" is not included in the calculation of the coefficient R, alfas and the B1 irregularity domain. A curtain that continues on all floors should not be marked as a basement. Good work
