Hello, sensitive friends for the subject mentioned about the complaints I will write here again, please do not bother to explain this question to me because I share the same views and I am struggling with it seriously. My problem is that; The relevant raoportor in the municipality says that he wants curtain groups such as UTL to be defined as polygons in the relevant article of the regulation. Yes, he is right, we create curtain groups in idecad and we ensure that the calculation method is correct and we get results. Our rapporteur wants us to model this curtain as a polygon as in sta4. He states that otherwise we have made a mistake. He states that each program has its own rules but the calculation logic is the same, that is, they take the rules from the regulations, and that the element defined as a polygon column in idecad will serve as a column in the rollover calculations. I have told them that it will not appear as What I did, 1- I got an account report as a curtain group 2- I got an account report by leaving it as separate curtains, that is, breaking the group 3- I defined it as a polygon column and got a report (as it did not appear in the earthquake report) Now I have nothing to tell this engineer, as IDECAD, please take your 1 day. Could you tell us about your program.. IN BRIEF, THIS ROPOROTOR DOESN'T CONFID THAT THE PROJECTS MADE WITH IDECAD ARE CORRECT. HE SAID THIS MANY TIMES TODAY, I SAID THIS AT THE LAST TIME, SHOULD WE CHANGE OUR PROGRAM? THEY SAID NO, BUT TELL YOUR PROGRAMMERS TO TRY TO FIX THESE glitches. ---R SELECTION CONTROLS REDUCES VS. WRONG ACCORDING TO IT. ---WE DEFINE CURTAINS AS A POLYGON COLUMN, WHAT I SAID IS WRONG ACCORDING TO HIM, IT WAS PROVIDED WITH M0/6 AND M0/3, WHILE R WAS PROVIDED WITH 4/5 WHAT MORE.

Re: ABOUT ARTICLE 4.5.3.5 ABOUT MODELING Request these criticisms and requests of your rapporteur against any of your projects, not verbally (with reasons) in an official letter. Even ask him to add the clause like Sta4.

Re: ABOUT ARTICLE 4.5.3.5 ABOUT MODELING We suffer the same pain as our friend. Making a static project with İdecad in MALTEPE MUNICIPALITY has officially become a grind. Apart from questioning the program in projects made with sta4cad, Adam directly approves if the loads are compatible with the architecture. I don't think it will work for you to come and explain because the man is a man who threw aside the technical report we received from KTU university by saying "Who is KTU?"

Re: ABOUT ARTICLE 4.5.3.5 ABOUT MODELING The report from KTU can be discarded as "Who is KTU?" But if you want a written response, you can't. Ask for requests and reasons for rejection in writing, and get a written response. You act according to the official response that follows. Let him write to the official answer, let's see idecad solves it incorrectly, use sta4, who is it? Do not give up your rights, do not take unnecessary actions or solutions, ask all your requests and requests from the reporter in writing. A person dies once, do not be afraid of death.

Re: ABOUT ARTICLE 4.5.3.5 ABOUT MODELING Now, it doesn't say use that program directly, it solves correctly. Since it is the most familiar and common in the market, they mostly look at the project with that program, at least they find its solutions more accurate. We compare an account report we got from Idecad with the one in the other program, and if he has it on his head, he does it. we are confused now, we are confused, our program is different, our reporter is different, our teacher is different, our management is completely different..

Re: ABOUT ARTICLE 4.5.3.5 ABOUT MODELING I read what was written in amazement. How can a controller give such a rejection without relying on any technical data? Request a formal reasoned rejection letter. If they cannot provide a technical justification, make a written complaint to the municipality they are affiliated with. If they can provide a technical reason, you will respond accordingly.

Re: ABOUT ARTICLE 4.5.3.5 ABOUT MODELING ideCAD Earthquake regulation article 4.5.3.5 applies exactly as it should. That is, polygon curtains are moddels as polygons, shell finite element model is formed and again as stated in the regulation, polygon curtains are modeled as polygons. calculates its effects at the polygon center of gravity. It does this in the same way as conventional generator programs do, and finds the same result .

Hello there; First of all, I would like to clarify the items concerning T, L, U or C curtains. It is explained in TBDY 2018 as follows. It is clearly stated here in Section 4.5.3.7 that curtains will be modeled with "SHELL FINISHED ELEMENTS". As our users know, this type of modeling is a modeling type that has been in ideCAD versions for a long time, and shell finite elements (ie meshes) can be easily seen in the "Analysis Model" section of the program. The type of analysis described in Section 4.5.3.5, on the other hand, is an approach that considers internal forces and shear strengths by considering T, L, U, C walls as a single wall, if we consider them independently of shell finite elements. As described in Section 4.5.3.7(b), a continuation of Section 4.5.3.5 has been written stating that the internal forces generated in I,T,L,U,C bulkheads will result in an equivalent rod section effect at the center of gravity of this section. Here, you can define a wall with shell finite elements and collect the internal forces formed in these finite elements at the center of gravity of the section to obtain the equivalent rod effect. As you know, this does not mean modeling these curtains with the rod model, it means finding the cross-section effect and strength like an equivalent rod by considering these curtains as a group. Article 4.5.3.7 describes exactly this situation. In ideCAD v10, shears are modeled with shell finite elements, however, group definitions of these curtains are optionally made. After defining the curtains you have drawn in the program as a group, clicking on the "Curtain Group Reinforced Concrete" section from the Reinforced Concrete design section will open the necessary window for you to examine all the results. Various screenshots for the Curtain Group Reinforced Concrete window are given below. Here, the names of the curtain groups that you have defined on the floor you are in, and the list of the curtain group dimensions and reinforcements are given as a table and the reinforcement section view. In this tab, you can interfere with the reinforcements on the screen image and see the results. Here, on the Cut Safety tab, the results of the design principles detailed in TBDY Section 7.6.6 are shown. It is clearly noticed in this section that, for example, the moment strength is calculated by considering the Md U wall as a whole. You can also see the control of this moment strength in the "Moment-curvature" tab by entering the appropriate angle and normal force value. In the section cell (fiber) design section, the fibers and reinforcement locations where the moment-curvature analysis of the shear wall is performed are seen. As seen here, modeling is performed in accordance with Section 4.5.3.5. My answer will continue as I can only add 5 images to a section...

In the capacity diagrams section, the interaction graph of the POLIGIN CURTAIN GROUP under bending and axial force is shown. The results calculated here are also calculated by considering the group polygon curtain as a whole. In the Moment-curvature tab, a curvature analysis is performed on the reinforcement and material condition of the curtain as defined in the Section Cell tab. Here, the moment strength values of the group polygon Shear can be easily controlled. You can also generate the report of this moment curvature analysis. In the capacity design tab, there is information about how much excess or deficiency is in the reinforcement areas, how close to the capacity limit value, by comparing the incoming forces in the relevant combination with the capacities obtained from the moment curvature analysis. The internal forces section is one of the most important sections here. Because here, the cross-sectional effects on the Group polygon curtain, described in TBDY Item 4.5.3.5 and then 4.5.3.7(b), are seen. In other words, the section effect values found here are the section where the equivalent bar section effects of the group polygon curtain are shown. There are also "Design results" magnified by the Dynamic amplification factor and magnified by the Strength Increment Factor. It is also possible to see the internal forces from the interface in the group polygon screen. If you click on the "curtain results" tab from the "Analysis Model" window, you can easily see the internal forces formed in the center of gravity of the curtain as in the image below. I have taken the image of a single curtain here to make the image more understandable. In this way, you can see the internal force results of all other defined group curtains as defined to the center of gravity. As I explained above, ideCAD Static IDS v10 analyzes and designs in the most appropriate way and in accordance with the Turkish Building Earthquake Code for limited and high ductility level shears. In addition, necessary measures will be taken in the reports to resolve the disagreement you mentioned above. Best regards...

myıldız25, It's really hard to deal with educated ignorant. It would be beneficial for you to follow Şahin Bey's advice. You have to make them feel how ignorant they are. After that, he starts to respect you. It is fixed by experience.

Hello there; I think Mr. myıldız25 should take his computer and show him what he is doing through the model and the program interface. Let the group explain the design of the curtain in this way. Moreover, in the other program mentioned, there is no single polygon curtain to define group curtains, as in ideStatik, it can also be defined with segmented panels, and in both cases, the program has shortcomings. For example, in the aforementioned program, title areas are not created in accordance with the regulation in the Polygon curtain definition. However, the friend in the municipality should be given credit at one point. When you look at the IdeStatik curtain reports, there is no explanation or regulation to explain the group curtain solution. In order to radically solve the problem, I think that the GROUP CURTAIN REPORT, arranged in a format suitable for the design of group curtains, should be added to the program, and all the design results of the group curtains from a to z should be given in this report independently of other curtains. Best regards.

There was a project in Maltepe municipality that I was looking at as a static consultant. The project was solved by the static project office with the IDECAD program, and I did the frame analysis with etabs, flooring and basic analysis with the safe program. Our roporter friend in Maltepe objected to the thickness of the foundation and turned the project down with a rough engineering of 10 cm foundation thickness for each floor (a correct pre-design approach for low-rise buildings, a false pre-design approach for multi-storey buildings). asked unv report to confirm. KTU University got a report, I took it to him, he still didn't accept it. The problem is not with that man. The problem is that the static reporter in the municipality should not have the authority to interfere with static design and modeling in any way. The responsibility is here as the project author and the reporter in the municipality interferes with design and design, although it is at Karadeniz Technical University, it is nonsense, it is impossible to talk to this person. :) I wish God's patience to my friends who work for the municipality of maltepe. static reporters who only supervise the constructive rules in the regulations . Best regards...

Hello. If there is a curtain with two curtains due to the connection beam between the two curtains while defining the curtain group. Will these two curtains be grouped together? Or will they stay separate? in the same way, if tie beams are formed between two u curtains, whether these two u curtains will be a single group or a group will be defined separately.
