areal load in addition to a certain part of the floor

Hello again, In a project, we want to enter areal live load in addition to a certain part of the slab, but I guess it is not possible in this program. For example, on a 40 m² living room floor, it will work as a balcony in a certain area. Due to the architectural situation, we cannot divide it with an intermediate beam. Good work...

Re: Live Load on Floor Hello; Method 1: You can enter your 40m2 floor in two parts by separating the border between the balcony and the living room with the floor edge. You can give the load you want to each piece . All you have to do is to arrange the reinforcement transitions in the drawing. Method 2: Loading the balcony section with an additional load from the outside with 1m2 grids, pointwise or linearly. In this method, you can load more sensitively by keeping the grid smaller. The field load just makes this process easier, it makes no difference. In addition, there is no need for reinforcement arrangement as there will be only one floor in this method. Best regards. In the 1st method, we will have defined slabs with a console side on the slab edge, I guess, is this a correct design?

Re: Live Load on Floor Hello; If you use the 1st method, you will have to manually determine the slab reinforcement type, in the analysis model, this slab will enter the analysis as a single piece. In my previous message, I wrote that you need to intervene in the drawings.

Even if we change the reinforcement type, the console will be analyzed as flooring, am I wrong?

Wrong. Console is reinforcement type. Analysis There is no such word as cantilever before, we decide according to the resulting moment diagram. The moment diagram of 4-sided slab slabs with three free ends and one end held, in the short direction, is suitable for the reinforcement type we defined as cantilever. Therefore, the program should be used on the line where the calculation axis passes, this kind of moment It automatically equips the slabs with a cantilever reinforcement type (negative moment at one end and zero moment at the other). By examining the moment diagram of the slabs from the 3D view, we always have the chance to change the reinforcement types with the reinforced concrete calculation axis edit. gives a missing Ace message.
