hello, although the concrete class and other data are low in the building we are trying to perform the performance analysis, it is located in the controlled damage zone, when we analyze the model, it does not appear in the linear performance analysis even though the number of non-savings is high in both vertical and horizontal elements. Can you help us?

Re: performance analysis Hello; I reviewed your project. If the structure is straight, the performance analysis is made with the "Linear Calculation Methods" specified in TBDY Section 15.5. The linear performance analysis evaluation is also made according to the section "Determination of the seismic performance of existing buildings" specified in TBDY Section 15.8. Here, during the performance evaluation, "if there is a brittle element, it should be strengthened" is sought. In this case, in addition to the controlled damage of the system, it should also be checked whether there is a brittle element from the element ductility checks (column ductility check, beam ductility check, wall ductility check). Since the method is assumed to be linear and there is no plastic deformation due to shear, only the deformation of ductile internal forces is controlled. When you look at the ductility control reports in your project, it is seen that there are brittle elements in the beams and columns and these elements need to be strengthened according to the regulation. The main reason why the elements are insufficient in the DGT analysis (in the modal analysis you mentioned) is due to the lack of longitudinal reinforcement to meet these ductility conditions. Re: performance analysis Hello; I would like to make a few more additions. In this project, I think the equipment was not arranged according to the existing structure. First of all, it is necessary to arrange and lock the reinforcements according to the existing structure. Column wrap stirrups are arranged 20 cm, but stirrup tightening option is selected in "performance analysis" options in column settings. The tightening option is also marked on the curtains and beams. Vertical earthquake effect and secondary earthquake direction options are unchecked in the performance analysis options. All these options need to be arranged according to the existing structure and the reinforcements need to be fixed. Best regards...
