About the silo foundation

First of all, I wish you a good work. I have a few questions about SILO FOUNDATION modeling.... First of all, let me give you some information about the silo. Our silo is a STEEL silo from 0mt to 6mt on steel legs and then from 6m to 15m with 3 closed eyes. I took the participation coefficient as n=0.80 in idecad and we have approximately 180 tons of silos (dry material inside + equipment + steel skeleton) my questions for which I am waiting for suggestions 1-) Is it correct to model this as a live load since there is an increase and decrease in the level in the silo over time? 2-) in my modeling, I defined 6+4.5 meters = 10.5 meters of slab on the remaining part (the part where the 9-meter load is) on the 0-6 mt range, I loaded it on it, in order to calculate the tipping for the full silo, 3-) when it comes to the ground value, Z2 is 17 tons. around but I took the Z3 15 tons values to stay safe. Ao=0.30 and Rx=Ry=4 Steel silo foundation. ***If I could not find any source about the silo, I would be glad if you can share it ***When I model in the handle, the first period in the modal analysis = WHEN I MODEL AS STEEL=0.15, so it saves me when I calculate manually, but I still got stuck with idecadde, TOP BUILDING INTERACTIVE SOLUTION If I do it like this, it saves from tipping If I do it INTERACTIVE, the superstructure does not save it from overturning... I'm waiting for your suggestions. I wonder if the entire mass is included in the system as a protective moment in the superstructure interactive solution Is there a point I missed or I am waiting for your suggestions Thanks in advance, I wish you a good work

Re: ABOUT SILO FOUNDATION superstructure interactive file superstructure non-interactive file, if I model it as a single base, there is still no problem, but since I want the silos not to be affected by each other, I think to model the bases separately

as you mentioned here, pavement interaction goes to continuous foundation and rafter raft solution. it is not included, but in my model above, why does it save when I get the superstructure interactively?

Hello, First of all, superstructure interactive solution can be made in the continuous foundation system in the program (Superstructure interactive solution is not foreseen in the single foundation and rafter raft foundation systems. The information is given in this way in the link you quoted). As for your project, there are two different rigid diaphragm formations and the rigid diaphragms are independent of each other... While the rollover control is performed in the program, the sums of the protective and overturning moments occurring in both diaphragms are proportional to each other. enter each rigid diaphragm as separate projects.

First of all, thanks for your attention, I think there is a point we cannot agree on. I also modeled the foundations separately, I also modeled 2 silos with a single foundation and different rigid diaphragm models, and I designed my system as a rafter raft in both of them...(No superstructure interactive solution is foreseen in single foundation and rafter raft foundation systems. .) based on this, the same load in the models with and without superstructure interaction, which I have given in the link, on the same system, only when we tick this in the analysis section the part that does not save about the rollover (it does not save in the superstructure non-interactive) 0.648 <0.5 ;when we click this, that is, when we make a superstructure interactive solution 0.442<0.50 part about tipping saves [ /color] looks like, what I'm wondering is, what kind of way is followed when analyzing the system in idecad in superstructure interactive solution and superstructure non-interactive solution, in the same model and system parameters. Different results occur in the overturning

In the superstructure interactive solution, extreme forces resulting from foundation collapses are taken into account in the superstructure calculation. For this reason, floor horizontal forces and earthquake moments vary. If there is another point that is not understood, it would be more appropriate to contact you by phone.
