About Elevator Curtain

Hello. In the project, the elevator curtain is modeled as in the appendix. Is modeling this way healthy? Is it necessary to model all curtain or polygon columns? It gives very absurd results this way. I would be happy if you were half. Project data

You need to define the columns at the corners of the curtain as curtains, select all of these curtains, and define "1", "group1" etc. to the curtain group option from the curtain settings. so that these curtains can be calculated correctly.

Hello, according to TBDY 2018, elevator curtains must be entered as shell element and defined as curtain group. Elements S16 and S17 must also be entered as screens, modeled as shells, and P1, P2, P3 all together defined as a group. The attached document contains detailed information on the subject:

Here the curtain part is already modeled as a group. Only a column has been added to the header (Horizontal Direction). Does it make sense to model and group this column as Curtain, or leave it as it is? If it is, it gives too much equipment and does not carry it.

Hello again, The curtains are not "grouped" in the project you added. "In my previous message, for columns S16 and S17, they should be entered as panels, modeled as shells, and P1, P2, P3 all together, defined as a group." I wrote. To create a curtain group: Select all the elements that will be curtain groups on all floors, enter curtain properties. Type a "group name" in the group name line and press the OK button. After the analysis, you can see the wall group reinforced concrete results in the Curtain Group Reinforced Concrete dialog. Good work
